Building the identity of a first-ever Pride
VCO Pride is making history as the first Pride ever in the Verbano-Cusio-Ossola province. In a country where LGBTQIA+ rights are still far from equal — no marriage or joint adoption rights, no recognition for queer families, and no comprehensive anti-discrimination law — Pride here is not just a celebration. It’s a statement, and the beginning of a much-needed movement.
As creative partner, we worked closely with the VCO Pride committee, in particular with Silvia Clo Di Gregorio (author, director, and overall amazing human) to craft the full identity for this historic first edition: a bold brand system that could unite the community, raise visibility, and make the case for why Pride still matters.
Beyond the logo, we designed fundraising assets such as flags, pins, and crosswords, and shaped the social media presence with a strong, recognizable style.
We also supported the manifesto concept and campaign photoshoot, pairing common anti-Pride statements such as 'So, do we need a Straight Pride?', 'I’m not gay, why should I go?', 'Pride indoctrinates our children', or 'Pride is an attack on family values' with hard facts about the reality in Italy today, confronting prejudice with clarity and impact. The portraits for this campaign were beautifully captured by the one and only Nic Salvatori.
The final result is an identity that empowers LGBTQIA+ activists and allies alike to stand tall, show up, and speak out.

"No doubt about it: goodbase is the very incarnation of Mary Poppins: their designs look like the work of superhuman talents, they are a breath of joy, professionalism and… a touch of magic, they are the spoonful of sugar that helps even the toughest project go down. In short: practically perfect in every way!"
A good match, why?
Empowering
At goodbase, we believe that design can be activism. VCO Pride needed more than visuals, they needed a way to turn their message into something people could carry, share, and rally behind.
That’s what made us a perfect fit: our shared commitment to inclusivity, clarity, and creating work that sparks real change.
Together, we’re making sure that the first VCO Pride is not only seen but felt, remembered, and ready to grow in years to come.
