Building the identity of a first-ever Pride
VCO Pride has officially made history as the first Pride ever in the Verbano-Cusio-Ossola province. In a country where LGBTQIA+ rights are still far from equal — no marriage or joint adoption rights, no recognition for queer families, and no comprehensive anti-discrimination law — Pride here is not just a celebration. It’s a statement and a much-needed movement.
As creative partner, we worked closely with the VCO Pride committee, in particular with author, director, and all-around powerhouse Silvia Clo Di Gregorio, to shape the identity for this historic first edition. Our goal? To create a bold and joy-filled brand system that could unite the community, raise awareness and remind everyone why Pride still matters.
Together, we crafted a flexible visual identity, from logo to layouts, plus fundraising assets like pins, flags and even a crossword. We then went on to shape a strong, recognizable social media presence and to develop the manifesto campaign, pairing common anti-Pride statements such as 'So, we also need a Straight Pride!', 'I’m not gay, why should I go?', 'Pride indoctrinates our children', or 'Pride is an attack on family values' with with facts about queer life in Italy today, confronting prejudice with clarity and impact. The campaign portraits, captured by the brilliant Nic Salvatori, have turned both heads and hearts.
And then, on September 6th in Omegna, it happened: Over 1,000 people took to the streets for love, equality, and pride. Some marched for the first time. Some came out. Everyone showed up.
With barely any media budget and limited resources, our social campaign travelled fast, powered mostly by word of mouth and a generous community.

In other words: We helped turn a small-town Pride into a national conversation.
To us, it was never just about a logo, a parade, or a post. It was about showing what’s possible when we come together: louder, prouder, and more united than ever. And this is just the beginning.

"No doubt about it: goodbase is the very incarnation of Mary Poppins: their designs look like the work of superhuman talents, they are a breath of joy, professionalism and… a touch of magic, they are the spoonful of sugar that helps even the toughest project go down. In short: practically perfect in every way!"
A good match, why?
Empowering
At goodbase, we believe that design can be activism. VCO Pride needed more than visuals, they needed a way to turn their message into something people could carry, share, and rally behind.
That’s what made us a perfect fit: our shared commitment to inclusivity, clarity, and creating work that sparks real change.
Together, we’re making sure that the first VCO Pride is not only seen but felt, remembered, and ready to grow in years to come.
